Former Nevada Gaming Control Board Chairwoman Becky Harris has joined Esports betting provider Oddin as a senior advisor as part of Oddin’s commitment to maintaining a secure regulatory environment for esports in the United States and other international markets.
Becky Harris is a Distinguished Fellow in Gaming and Leadership at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas’ International Gaming Institute. In this role, Harris collaborates on a variety of gaming and leadership-related problems and initiatives with regulators, operators, academics, and other stakeholders.
Harris was the first woman to serve as Chairwoman of the Nevada Gaming Control Board, which she left in 2019. She led the Board through a number of contentious topics, including the repeal of PASPA, the spread of sports betting across the country, and numerous Wire Act problems.
Head of Partnerships at Oddin, Marek Suchar, said that everyone at Oddin is enthusiastic about esports, and they all feel that safeguarding the industry’s integrity is incredibly critical to its long-term success. In this sense, Oddin has previously collaborated with ESIC and offers reliability monitoring data through its risk management.

There is no doubt that esports betting is taking place among US bettors, it is just not necessarily happening through properly licensed operators.
